A young Japanese maiden, whose pride and honor are wounded by an American naval officer, is left to heartbreak and tragedy. Puccini’s music is breath-taking as it builds between hope and anticipation, betrayal and despair. Musical highlights include the radiant “Flower Duet,” and “Un bel di vedremo” (“One fine day we shall see”). Passion and pathos unleash in this deeply moving drama, an enduring favorite.

Sung in Italian with English supertitles.

A 30-minute pre-concert talk will begin one hour before the performance.

Seniors and veterans may purchase single tickets to the Madame Butterfly performance at a 10% discount off regular prices for the September 20th performance in selected seating areas. Educators (K-12)

Educators in K-12 schools are eligible to receive a 20% discount off the price of Madame Butterfly in selected seating areas. Proof of full-time employment is required. Ticket may be purchased beginning August 19, 2019 by phone or in person. Call 509 624 1200.

Students

Specially priced rush tickets are subject to availability for each Madame Butterfly performance. Offer is valid for full-time students on the day of the performance in the balcony section. Ticket orders must be in person with valid ID, two hours before the performance.
