“And the stars were shining, And the earth was scented. The gate of the garden creaked And a footstep grazed the sand… Fragrant, she entered And fell into my arms.”  ~ Puccini, Tosca

If you are reading this, you are one of us!  You understand and appreciate all of the beautiful things that Opera CDA brings to our community and our world.  Some of you are new to OCDA, while others have been with us since our inception.  All of you are necessary, valued, and brilliant partners in some way to the energy, spirit, success, and longevity of this company.  Your contributions and your interest are our life-blood.  You create the essence that is Opera CDA.

So, my friends…JOIN US in our enthusiasm and excitement as we roll out our glorious 2017 Season, our new Sponsor Benefit Packages, our new marketing approaches which include exciting new programs and events, and in this very immediate moment, our brand new and vastly improved website!  Rob Hust, at Creative Coeur has partnered with us to create a beautifully done and user-friendly website that better illustrates who we are and what we do.  You will find the website to be filled with both useful and interesting information, including details of upcoming events, shows, artists, ad purchasing, sponsorship packages, etc.   You will be able to buy tickets, donate (we hope), and view photos and videos of events and performances that you’ve loved.

We’ll be sharing newsworthy items with you once or twice a month.  We have a lot of great things coming down the pike, so please access our website early and often!  Don’t worry if you missed a newsletter/blog, as you’ll be able to find it on our website anytime.

Look for the “Featured Sponsor” in each Blog post and please extend a thank you if you see them.  Without them, “the show would not go on.”

To that end, we begin our 2017 journey by thanking our first “Featured Sponsor”, Pinkerton Retirement Specialists.  Dan Pinkerton has graciously hosted an exclusive Valentine’s Charity Dinner and Concert – “A Romantic Night at the Museum.”  The intimate event will be held at the Idaho Wildlife Museum.  As you dine on a four-course candlelight dinner catered by the Greenbriar Inn, you will be serenaded by our performers who will be singing music from your favorite operas and arias.  Dan is donating all proceeds to OCDA.  Follow the link on our website to purchase tickets, visit www.NightAtMuseum.org, or call 800-634-2008.  Tickets are almost sold out.  The dinners are Friday, Feb 10 and Saturday, Feb 11.  We hope to see you there and we’ll welcome your thoughts about the new website and any and all things opera.  We are all in this together!
