Inland Northwest Opera

Inland Northwest Opera (or INO) is a world-class Opera company garnering attention on the national stage for its acclaimed casts and beautiful productions. Not only is it the only professional Opera company in the Inland Northwest, but it is also the only Arts organization in the entire region whose mission is to serve both Spokane, Coeur d’Alene, and the surrounding areas equally.

Organized in 2000 by a group of opera lovers bent on bringing great artists and beautiful music to the Inland Northwest, INO began as a grassroots effort as Opera Plus! In 2009, Opera Plus! expanded its season and became Opera Coeur d’Alene.

Aaron St. Clair Nicholson then took over as Artistic and General Director in 2012, quickly establishing a new trajectory for Opera Coeur d’Alene and her loyal supporters by raising the artistic bar to a whole new level and expanding our season with a second, semi-staged opera in Spokane..

The 2018 season boasts exciting changes for Opera Lovers throughout our entire region. Under our new and all-inclusive name, we seek to finally unify Opera Lovers under a single umbrella. With Dawn Wolski as General Director and Acting Artistic Director, as well as a tireless and dedicated Board of Directors, INO is eager to bring the finest Opera the region has ever seen.

Join us for our first fully-staged Opera at the stunning Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox in Spokane! Sip wine at sunset for our audience favorite Opera on the Lake in CDA, or dress to impress at the Annual Gala in Hayden.
